Car Accident Leaves Tampa Bay Teen With a Traumatic Brain Injury

After a car accident left an 18-year-old Tampa Bay high school student with a traumatic brain injury (TBI), members of the community have gathered to show their support in her recovery. High school staff members were stunned by the show of love and concern for the future of the young woman. School faculty members have even made personal donations to ensure that the family members can take time off work to be by their daughter’s side.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the young woman and two of her friends had pulled over to the side of the road to change a tire when a driver lost control of his vehicle, hitting all three girls. Community fundraising events have been organized to help the young woman and her family during this difficult time.
